Oh, Allison!

My third (and last) Salem post! And after Halloween, no less. I think I saved this one to combat my Post Halloween Depression. Truly, though, for the Halloween hearted, the spook lives year round. Moving Along! On this day we visited The Ropes Mansion (Allison’s House in Hocus Pocus), Old Burying Point Cemetery + The Salem Witch Trials Memorial, and Greenlawn Cemetery which is home to the most beautiful chapel. By that time we were starved so we stopped in for a pizza at Flying Saucer Pizza Company. Not only was this place filled with quirk and space age décor, but the pizza was out of this world (pun intended cause i’m cheesy << ok that’s a two for one pun).  Next we strolled down Derby Street so that I could meet a lady I’d been admiring via the internet, Witch Bitch! She was SO charming in person. Afterward we grabbed coffee and visited about a thousand witch shops, the most fantastic of the day being The Coven’s Cottage. That evening we had supper at Bit Bar, which is the old Salem Jail turned beer garden/restaurant/arcade, and then finished off the evening at Notch Brewing, where we only cried into our beers a little at the thought of having to leave the next evening!
